Lost Homestay Resort

LOST HOMESTAY RESORT

Deluxe Bungalow

The 36 square meter bungalow consists of a living room with kitchen and dining area as well as a double bedroom with separate bathroom. Fully air conditioned. The bungalow also benefits from free Wi Fi and a 55 inch Samsung Smart Tv which is connected to the resorts video library with over 3000 movies.

The large sofa folds down into a double bed, which along with the Super king size  bed in the bedroom gives the bungalow the ability to sleep four adults. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space and also a room safe.

The kitchen consists of a kitchenette with double ring stove, microwave, fridge and kettle along with a four seater dining table. Free towels and toiletries are provided. The bungalow is non smoking but has a patio area where smoking is allowed.

Double Rooms

The resort has eight 18 square meter rooms. All of which have their own private balcony area and six look out over the courtyard and swimming pool.

All rooms come with a Super king size double bed and flat screen smart tv which has access to our library of over 3000 movies. Free high speed internet is available in all rooms as well as resort wide coverage. Rooms have a wardrobe and storage space as well as an office desk and chair which acts as a work station, the drawers of which are lockable. Rooms also have a fixed safe box.

Swimming Pool

The resort has a 6m x 6m saltwater swimming pool. The pool is 1.3m deep with a seating area at one end. The saltwater and de-chlorination system mean the pool is friendly to sensitive skin and the computer controlled environment cleans the entire pool over a two hour period. There is a separate shower behind the waterfall.

The pool even comes complete with its own waterfall. Perfect for a cooling dip or daily exercise. The pool is well liked by the guests we have had at the resort so far.

Cafe / Bar / Restaurant

The resort also has a Cafe / Bar / Restaurant adjacent to the swimming pool area. The Cafe serves breakfasts, a burger style menu and some Thai foods throughout the day and then in the evening turns into a Restaurant with a varied foreign / Thai menu cooked to order. The Bar also has an alcohol licence. There is a toilet available in the Bar area.

The resort also has ample secure parking for cars and motorcycles.

The resort has CCTV 24 hour systems in place for the security of customers.

Here is a YouTube video from my friend Chris from his channel Retired working for you, It really shows the resort off well.

Life back in the Uk compared to Thailand We have now been back in the Uk for 20 months and it got me thinking what has been the difference between the two countries now that we seem to be recovering from the Covid era. The biggest differences have to do with the seasons, climate and vibe.  When you live in Thailand it takes about two years to get used to the heat and humidity, Our house is South of Bangkok and averages 31 degrees over the year. In summer it rises to 45 degrees and in the rainy season, it drops to about 28 degrees. Living in that heat wears you down and changes the way you spend your days, going out early in the morning and dodging into air-con rooms mid-afternoon.  Here in the Uk, it's totally different as the temperatures are completely different and range from -5 degrees in the Winter to 30 degrees in the Summer.  This leads me to the seasons and if I am honest whilst living in Thailand, I really missed the four seasons in the Uk. Thailand really only has two, th

Understanding the future for our resort in Thailand

Understanding the future of our resort in Thailand What does the future hold for tourism around the globe after COVID? Nobody knows really if there will be another deadly strain around the corner? So many questions and no concrete answers. How do you plan your business strategy for the future in such uncertain times? In December 2020 we opened the doors to our resort in Thailand and after 3 months we had to shut it down in first instance to foreign tourists and then 2 months later completely shut it to all guests due to COVID restrictions. We kept the staff on for a further 3 months hoping things would change but alas they didn't. Tourism is set to start returning to Thailand in mid-2022 but at what point will it get back to a normal level, and what is the new normal going to look like. So many businesses went bust and the economy around tourism almost collapsed. Staff moved away from the tourist areas and went home, resorts and hotels changed hands, Bars and nightlife areas wer

Do you Buy or Rent in Thailand, possibly buy a Condo?

Do you Buy or Rent in Thailand, possibly buy a Condo? A question or type of question I get a lot by email on a regular basis, do I buy or rent and if I buy, what do I buy. Then can I own a property in Thailand? Rather than go into a long discussion just have a look at these videos that I made for our YouTube channel.  This video has had over 70,000 views and hundreds of comments.  Another great video but to my surprise only got 22,000 views. A must-watch if you are serious about buying or building in Thailand. The subject of buying or building in Thailand must be the biggest topic for a foreigner thinking of retiring to Thailand at first and then of course the topic soon turns to Visas but that is another post.
